What Is Love Coaching?
At The Business of Love, we like to think of our coaching as “Love Coaching”, although it is really more because the heart of what we do is about improving relationships.
Love Coaching is a powerful way to bring results to your life, free of a clinical approach. It is a client-focused service where the client requesting the coaching is assumed to be healthy and able to achieve relationship goals with effective support, information, and guidance.
Coaching is an effective and completely confidential way to dialogue and share experiences with someone not involved in your immediate circle that can assist you in creating positive changes for your life.
The beauty of coaching is that you are in control of when and why you decide on coaching, and that you may begin as soon as you and your coach set the appointments. How many sessions you choose to participate in is completely up to you, and you also set the regularity of such sessions. Coaching may be done over the telephone or in person (for local clients). Payment is made in advance, prior to the scheduled session(s).
Have you ever wondered what the difference is between a “Coach” and a “Therapist”? There are differences between the two. Consider this…
|Assumes the client needs healing||Assumes the client is whole|
|Roots in medicine, psychiatry||Roots in sports, business, personal growth venues|
|Works with people to achieve self-understanding and emotional healing||Works to move people to a higher level of functioning|
|Focuses on feelings and past events||Focuses on actions and the future|
|Explores the root of problems||Focuses on solving problems|
|Works to bring the unconscious into consciousness||Works with the conscious mind|
|Works for internal resolution of pain and to let go of old patterns||Works for external solutions to overcome barriers, learn new skills and implement effective choices|
Love Coaching sessions are completely individualized.
What Love Coaching is Not
Because Love Coaching may be misunderstood, please understand the following when booking sessions:
- Love coaching is not the same as therapy.
- Love coaching works using a present-centered model, and is not the proper format to figure out how past traumas are affecting your current sexual situation.
- Clients and coaches do not engage in any type of a physical relationship.
- Love Coaching is a platonic relationship between client-coach.
